Officially Latina Equal Pay Day πŸ’°

Hello Reader,
Although we are bringing awareness to this important day- today is not about celebration.

Today is about building awareness so we can create a Mindset that will no longer tolerate getting paid less than.

Let's build the Awareness around the importance of knowing our numbers!

- Do you know how much you have in your bank account right now?

- How much you have saved up?

- How much did you paid in taxes last year?

It is important and vital to our Money Mindset to know our numbers!

Assignment:

Today I want you to take ACTION on 2 things:

Step #1- Look at your numbers- open all your accounts today (including your retirement accounts ) and look at the numbers. Be aware of where you stand financially. For some of you- this may not be a big deal, for others - this will be the biggest breakthrough you have this week.

Step #2- Tell 3 fellow Latina and/or Allies about the huge pay gap for Latinas - tag them in this IG post, or forward them information on Latina Equal Pay Day.

We need to spread the word, so we can build awareness to shift our Mindset! Watch your challenge video for today here.

Let's Build our Money Mindset!!

Warmly,

Wendy

Hello Reader, Yesterday was Dia De Muertos, and I want to acknowledge how our culture chooses to celebrate and remember those who have passed on ❀️ Dia de los Muertos is a celebration of culture, history, and love for those who came before us. Although thinking of my brother's passing still makes me sad, today I remember him with joy. Instead of death being only a sad experience, death becomes a part of life today. It’s like we bring back the spirit of those that have passed and we honor them...

Hello Reader, Latina Equal Pay Day is being observed this week- on October 21, 2021. More than 50 years after the passage of the Equal Pay Act of 1963, Latinas today typically earn only 57 cents for every dollar earned by white, non-Hispanic men. Latinas must work nearly 23 months to earn the same amount. We are not getting paid equally for equal work. Although there are many reasons for why this happens, and there are issues with equal pay across the spectrum - I am specifically interested...

Hello Reader,The Latina Equal Pay Day Challenge: Day 2On day #2 of the Challenge - I want to focus on the importance of boundaries. When you create boundaries in your life- you decide what you are staying no to. When you decide what you are a no to, the things you are saying yes to - get stronger. There is so much power in creating boundaries for our life. As women, I find that we say yes to way too much. And this affects our time, which then affects our money. For today- your assignment is to...
